Strengths Finder – get to know your team members in a unique way and find the best ways to help them shine

A man carries a black-winged woman on his shoulder

Is Milla motivated by pay, responsibility or cat pictures? Is Ville bugged by workload, office noise or a colleague’s jokes? Lead your team into an escape game and the mysteries of behaviour!

“Building the atmosphere was a great success; within five minutes the whole management team was immersed in the theme, and after that the day just swept us along”

– Kenneth Strömsholm, CEO of Veho, on the management team’s development day

Coaching leadership has long been The Phenomenon, but this escape room gives you a whole new tool for understanding and leading your team. It uniquely combines observing team behaviour with having fun. While the team solves the real-world puzzles of the escape room, their actions reveal how the team handles problem-solving, decision-making, roles and interaction.

After the game, we go through our observations together with the team, so you can motivate and engage your team members better from then on. You’ll also be able to see which tasks the people around you really shine in and how their strengths could be put to even better use. It’s also a brilliant way to reflect on how your company’s values show up in the way the team works.

Let’s set up a meeting by phone, on Teams or even in person, and plot the best development day ever for you together!

More than an escape room

Our game setting couldn’t be more intriguing, as we play in the old hospital in Meilahti. Live actors who have slipped into the game add to the suspense and interaction. If they wish, the team can push past their limits by descending from a balcony by rope. After the game, we unpack together what happened during the game and what made people act the way they did.

Game area

We have three different games, so you can choose your team’s favourite: the feel-good The Kidnapped Artist, The Snatched Boss from the business world, and the serial killer-themed Trapped by the Beast. You can also add a rope descent from a balcony to the game.

Classic

You and your team spend an hour solving murders in the chilling corridors and spine-tingling operating theatre of an abandoned hospital. The game features actors who are on your team’s side – or against you. After the game, we spend two hours going through the observations made about your team. The game takes place in Helsinki, in the old hospital in Meilahti at Tukholmankatu 10.

Classic +ropes

You can cap off your team’s game with a rope descent from a nine-metre-high balcony.

Players

So that everyone has something to do, the ideal team size is 3-7 people. Larger teams are split into smaller groups, but the observations can be reviewed together with the whole team.

Price and payment methods

Strengths Finder costs 4200 € +VAT. Each additional group costs 500 €.

Content warning

We’re not a traditional escape room: our games are a mix of theatre, adventure and puzzles. That’s why they suit people who love to throw themselves in and want more to solve than just locks and number codes.

Safety

Our games use a safe word, so you can let us know if something gets too intense. Rope descending is voluntary for everyone, so it’s fine if only some of the group take part. Rope descents are overseen by Toni Hinkka, who has belayed jumps tens of thousands of times, including in the army.

Accessibility

We’re the escape room you can head to without wondering whether you’ll end up watching your friends play from the sidelines. We can audio-describe the clues, guide you from place to place or arrange a sign language interpreter for the game. Materials are also available in Braille or large print. Our premises are wheelchair accessible, and we have harnesses that let wheelchair users descend from the balcony too.

Organisers

The team’s behaviour is observed by Heidi Torn and Toni Hinkka.

In his coaching, Toni has used tools including Extended DISC, the REISS Motivation Profile, the CxO Charisma Profile, the CxO Team Profile and the CxO Leader Profile. Heidi, for her part, has carried out personnel assessments using Clevry and various work simulations.

All PakoMielle games are our own creations, so you won’t find them anywhere else. Toni is in charge of the games’ technology, routes and effects, drawing on what he has learned about urban warfare tactics and human psychology. Heidi weaves the plots, bringing experience as a game master of dozens of live-action role-playing games, a fantasy author and a board game designer, and looks after both customers and actors.
