An escape game makes a brilliant winter holiday highlight, because you don't have to choose between getting active and binge-watching your favourite series at home. The adventurers in your group can try a rope descent from a balcony, mystery lovers can savour the story's juicy twists, and creative free spirits can throw themselves into their roles as villains or heroes.
We have six different escape games, each available in three lengths. In the Classic version you spend an hour indoors in an old hospital, where fate can't ambush you with slush, frost or blizzards. It's a great way to spend a rest day between outdoor activities or to cap off the evening before dinner out. Classic+ lasts an hour and a half and ends with a rope descent from the hospital balcony. Premium lasts two hours and takes your group from the bustle of the city centre to the old hospital in Meilahti, where you can finish by escaping from a balcony on ropes if you wish. The rope descent is optional, and the price includes an HSL ticket (valid on both trams and buses) for getting around during the game.
Our most popular game Trapped by the Beast is especially suited to serial-killer hunters who love darting through the mazes of a hospital. The Rich and the Criminals on the other hand has more action than puzzles and is best for those who side with the villains.
For families with children we recommend The Kidnapped Artist or The Nicked Christmas. Bear in mind that some puzzles require reading skills and small children may find the games' villains scary. The rope descent is possible from age 5. If needed, we can also provide a babysitter for the duration of the game.
All our Classic games take place in Meilahti at Tukholmankatu 10, easy to reach straight from the city centre, for example on tram 4. Premium games, meanwhile, start right next to the Kamppi shopping centre, at John Scott’s restaurant, Salomonkatu 1. So both places are easy to find even for holidaymakers from further afield. An actor stays with you throughout the game, so there's no risk of getting lost. All our games can also be played in English.

Choose from six different crime mysteries full of love, scheming and surprises. Every game comes in a one-hour Classic, a 1.5-hour Classic+ and a two-hour Premium version. Classic+ includes the rope descent.

Can you save the gig with the gossip mags sniffing for a scoop and the manager breathing down your neck? Will the night end with a scream or a high C?

You can also pack your sledge with extra treats, such as Finnish Shrovetide buns – or even a photographer to capture your moments together throughout the game. If you're spending the holiday with a bigger group of friends, we'll whizz over to your home or hotel in no time.
Game area
In our Classic games you spend an hour adventuring around the abandoned hospital in Meilahti, safely sheltered from the snowflakes.
In our Premium games, the two-hour adventure starts at John Scott’s restaurant in Kamppi and ends in Meilahti with a rope descent from the hospital balcony.
Actors
Our actors have already dug out their balaclavas to bring extra thrills to your winter holiday on video, by phone and live.
Depending on the game, they're on your side – or against you.
You can join in the acting as little or as much as you like.
Ropes
If you're craving even more adrenaline, you can round off the holiday and the game by escaping from a balcony by rope. The descent works whatever the weather, and afterwards you can head straight back inside to warm up.
The descent is nine metres and entirely optional for everyone.
Story
In all our escape games the puzzles are woven tightly into the story, and your ski boots or snow boots will leave a unique mark on it.

The Christmas nuts may all be eaten, but brainteasers are in season all year round.
Nothing but maths puzzles would bore many people, so our puzzles use many different senses and all kinds of intelligence get their chance to shine.

Schedule
How long the rope descent takes depends on the size of your group and partly on how brave the descenders are. So make sure you leave enough time before your next activity or table booking.
